coffee farming

Coffee farming remains one of the most reliable sources of income for many Ugandan households, yet poor farming practices, limited training, and lack of access to quality seedlings continue to affect yields and household earnings. Many smallholder farmers struggle to turn coffee growing into a stable source of income capable of meeting basic family needs.
Calidality Ministries International established the Coffee Farming Project to equip community members with practical, hands-on knowledge covering the entire coffee production process. Farmers are trained from the earliest stages, including seed selection and nursery bed preparation, through transplanting to the main garden, proper spacing, pruning, pest and disease management, and ongoing crop care.
The program emphasizes good agronomic practices that lead to healthy plants and improved yields. By strengthening farmers’ skills and confidence, the project helps households increase productivity, generate sustainable income, and improve their ability to afford basic needs such as food, education, healthcare, and decent housing.
Through this initiative, Calidality Ministries International promotes self-reliance, economic empowerment, and long-term community resilience, ensuring that families are not only supported but equipped to sustain themselves with dignity.
